History, Bio and All About Us

Hi!  Thanks for checking out Moonlighting ICT!

Are you curious how we came to be?

I'm Marko Garcia, the founder and owner of Moonlighting ICT.  I thought it would be good to give you some of my background and how we came to be.

Born and raised in Connecticut, I remember when I was very young, a friend of the family took me on a very fast test ride of a bike he’d seen for sale.  Needless to say, I was hooked.

I started out riding dirtbikes around the forest of Connecticut and later picked up a little Honda 50 to putt around the neighborhood.

As a teenager, I became facinated with cars and loved tinkering on them along with bikes.  As highschool came to an end, I followed my dream of enlisting in the military.  I joined the United States Air Force and got placed for automotive and heavy equipment school.  I ended up doing two tours during and after the 1st Gulf war during my service and finally separated from active duty in ‘94 where I was stationed at McConnel AFB here in Wichita.

Leaving active duty, I went to work in an automotive garage in downtown Wichita and signed up for the USAF Reserves where I could continue my experience as a heavy equipment operator.

One day In the late 90's, I was out for a stroll on the motorcycle and wound up in a nasty car vs motorcycle accident.  This ended my career in the reserves and left me without a solid career or purpose.

A good friend of mine asked me to work as a mechanic in his new motorcycle shop and helped him for a number of years but unfortunately the shop didn't last long when the 2008 recession hit, so I decided to start my own small shop working out of my home.

In 2008, I bought a house with a nice garage and somewhere around the same time, purchased a motorcycle tire changing equipment for my own personal use to avoid the ridiculous prices the dealerships wanted for changing tires on my Goldwing.

When Friends found out I had a tire changer, I'm sure you can guess what happened next...  This moved me into other small repairs and it’s been Motorcycle’s ever since.

At the end of the day, I love motorcycles and I love helping people out when they have a problem.

If you want to find out if I can help out, don't hesitate to give me a call! (316) 207-0572
